Heels, heels, and more heels!

In this post I’m going to show most of the shoes I currently own and use.

I’ll start with my pumps.

Pink    Turquoise

These I bought last summer, I were planning on only buying the turquoise ones, but since I’d just bought a pinkdress the pink one got home with me to.
I use these mainly with black dresses to add a little pop of colour.

Grey

These I bought last summer, specifically for a grey dress I have. But I sometimes use them with skirts or black dresses.

Flower         Hig heels

These two pairs  I bought for New Years, I havent used the bottom ones much yet, other than at home. They are a few cm’s taller than I’m used to, so I want to get used to them first.

Studs

These I bough a couple of years ago. Now I never use them because the lower part of the heel is broken, but I’m gong to get them fixed.

Now we’ll move on to my boots.

Boots1

These I got from a friend when she cleaned out her closet. I use these really much during the summer, they get a bit warm, but they are really nice.

Boots2

These I got from my boyfriend about 3 years ago. I rarely use them since I’m not a huge fan of wedge heels. But I still love them

High winter       Low winter

These two pair are my fall/winter shoes, got them last year in october.
I used the tall ones with a low heel as an everyday shoe and the low ones with the higher heel as a party shoe.

Besides from these there are the shoes from my last post, the ones I work in. But that’s all the shoes I actually use.

Bye

Internship and standing up.

I said yesterday that I was going to write a little about what I do during the days know. So here goes

Right know I’m taking a class in service an selling (sort of) with focus on reception and customer service.
So currently I’m having an internship at the reception of a a Choice Hotel in the town I live in.
I love it there, i get to do a lot, everyone is so nice to me and I really feel like it’s giving me something (If it ends in giving me a job, that would be great)

The only thing I can complain about is standing up, 8 hours a day. At the end of the first days I had pain in parts of my feet I didn’t even knew existed.
I’ve figured out a few things to think of when it comes to caring for your feet if you stand up a lot, so here are what I do:

1.Shoes!
Make sure you have good and comfortable shoes, and if you buy new shoes, walk around in them for a while at home to get used to them before taking them to work. Later in this post you’ll see the two pairs I use.

2. One word, Pedicure!
Take care of your feet. Feel tired after a long day and your feet ache? Take a foot bath with some calming salts and end with massaging in a foot lotion. It’s up to you if you want to scrub away the calluses, for some people they actually give more support while standing. Personally, I hate calluses, so be gone!

3. Blood flow
When you get home, sit down and put your feet in a high position to helt eventual swelling and help the blood flow.

4. Compression stockings.
I recently was introduced to this particular item of clothing, and I’m hooked.
A compression stocking is a knee high stocking or pantyhose that helps the blood flow, it presses harder on your ancle than usuall stockings to prevent the upgoing blood from going back down in the foot. I think they work wonders.

5. Sit down
When you get the chance, even if only for a few seconds. Sit down. The short rest might not feel like much at the moment, but it might help you later in the day.

Now, here are the two pairs of shoes I use at work.

A pair of flats.
I used these the first two weeks while I was getting used to standing so much, they might not look it but these are actually soft in the sole.

Low heels.
These are the ones I use now, They are comfy, softer than they look and I really like how they look.
I usually walk with these to the hotel and back home. I also use these when (if) I’m going outside on the weekends.

And a little bonus!

My latest manicure. I decided to just use my normal frenh manicure as a base and add a little pink and champagne color to it. Simple and nice.

Well well. Now I’m leaving the computer to lie down in a bath that my boyfriend fixed for me

Ciao!

Acrylic and Nail foil.

Yesterday I ordered a few Nail products. I felt I could spare the money since this have been a pretty good month and since I’m almost Done with the class/course I’m taking I felt I deserved it. (More about the course tomorrow, together with a pedicure post)

The things I ordered are some Nail things, I’m in a lazy make-up period so I’m focusing a lot on ny nails now.

I ordered:
A test kit for making acrylic nails containing 5grams och white, Pink and clear powder and 10 ml acrylic liquid.
5 reusable Nail forms
An acrylic brush
Nail foil adhesive
Green Nail foil
A test kit of 5 different Nail foils

The test kit for acrylics isn’t that much, but it’s enough to try and see if I like it. If I do I’ll buy more. I hope it’ll at least be enough for 1 set of fingernails and 1 set of toenails. Anyone have any ideal of how much it might be?

The nail foils I’ve wanted to try for long, you put the adhesive on the nail and then kind if rub the foil onto the nail so it’ll stick.

The site I ordered from is closed the rest if this week, so hopefully this will all ship on monday and I’ll get it sometime next week. I’ll try the foil the day I get it and the acrylics someday in the weekend when I have time to spare.
Now I’m going to bed since I’m getting up in about 6 hours, tomorrow I’ll explain more about what I’m doing now, show off my latest manicure and write a pedicure post.

Ciao
